PISTOL FUNDAMENTALS CLASS

This course is for all skill levels. Newer shooters will receive close instruction. Advanced shooters will be pushed with steeper pars and higher expectations.

Topics covered:

• The four rules of firearm safety

• Safe holstering, carrying, and drawing

• Concealed and OWB holsters

• Dry fire

• Dots and iron sights

• Group shooting

• Trigger press

• Grip and vision

• Target transitions

• Recoil management

• Movement

Required gear:

• Modern handgun (9mm, .40, or .45 ACP)

• Holster for your pistol

• Minimum 3 spare magazines

• 200–300 rounds of ammo

• Eye and ear protection

• Weather-appropriate layers

• Water, snacks, lunch

• Proper footwear

• Ball cap

• Sharpie

• Notepad (optional)

• NO bad attitudes, antisocial behavior, or people of poor character

• NO haphazard tendencies regarding safety, whether to yourself or others

• NO alcohol or mind-altering substances before or during your time on the range

• NO pets
